Our Mission
We aim to facilitate, promote, and otherwise catalyze financial literacy and provide educational resources to those in need across underserved communities by building meaningful relationships and creating support systems through our network and partnerships.
Facilitating financial literacy education means providing thoughtful, comprehensive sessions with our mentees and fostering an inquisitive environment where mentees can create a plan for their financial well-being. We start by integrating our partnerships with our network of coaches and technology to enhance our process. With the support of established nonprofits in the area, we are building connections in the community to encourage conversations around financial goal setting, budgeting, financial resource management, and debt management.
One key tenet of our model for success and growth is to ensure that we are constantly developing our resources and training, and driving meaningful impact. We believe in a culture of continuous improvement, and that starts with seeking feedback from those we serve and the organizations we partner with in our commitment to excellence.
Our Services
Partnerships
The Project Hudson team has identified key organizations that are aligned to our mission and whose focus includes recruitment of mentees and coaches and have begun to form core partnerships to help with community outreach. Our partners are supportive of various PH initiatives, including the promotion of general education, 1:1 coaching, and group coaching sessions.
Borough of Manhattan CC
The Borough of Manhattan Community College is a diverse learning community whose focus is on continuous growth and improvement in their students. BMCC is currently discussing mentorship through student focus groups and 1:1 guidance with Project Hudson.
Local University
Project Hudson has partnered up with a local university in Jersey City to help source mentees and potential coaches. Through this partnership, Project Hudson aims to help raise awareness, engage in large group sessions, and encourage individual coaching sessions.
New City Kids
New City Kids is a community organization whose mission is to create a community of spiritual, leadership, academic, and musical development by supporting youth from low income families. Our partnership with this organization has resulted in mentee relationships brought about during our general education sessions.
Local Religious Institutions
Project Hudson is working with local religious institutions to continue initiatives and lead general education sessions by joining efforts alongside existing fellowship programs, whose aim is to provide youth with important leadership development. Through this partnership, Project Hudson will engage mentees, garner more interest in financial literacy resources, and facilitate financial health discussion within the religious community.
